    Homemade Chalets

    Thierry and Nathalie, a couple of mountain lovers and construction enthusiasts started off in real estate a decade or so, ago. After running at first, a real estate development company they decided to start building private houses, together.

    Their aim is to design functional and contemporary accomodation : their focus is on well-being and a well thought out interior set up, and great care as regards interior decoration, for their guests' pleasure as well as their own.

    « Wherever you may find yourself, it's good to feel at home : this is our guiding principle when building our houses. Each home must be a source of well-being and offer a warm and cosy atmosphere. »

    The Chalets Aquarelle were built along these lines by the owners, at first as their own home and now as seasonal rental accomodation.

    Why Chamonix ?

    Thierry and Nathalie who share a passion for mountaineering and fine food, fell in love with Chamonix, its valley and local treasures at a very young age. After discovering the town on a school trip and coming back to push their own limits at mountain sports, they finally settled there for several years and have even passed on their passion to their daughter Zoé.

    « It's a place to recharge one's batteries, enjoy good food, where life is sweet. The surroundings are wonderful and the town center is really pleasant. You can find everything here and the mountains are a stone's throw away. »

    The name « Aquarelle »

    « Aquarelle (Watercolour) is like a trademark for us. Thierry used to paint watercolours. When we started off in the real estate business, he then used watercolours to illustrate his plans. Bringing our own personal touch to the Chalets we rent out is a rule we still follow nowadays. The plans are handmade. We build the wooden furniture and the kitchens ourselves. We like to pull our sleeves up and add our personal touch. The concept of « Aquarelle » stands for quality. »
